The Free From Fairy has launched what it says is the world’s first multi-purpose wholegrain, gluten- and rice-free flour, positioned as a healthy alternative to gluten-free white flour.

The Plain Flour blend is milled in the UK in a gluten- and nut-free environment and combines teff, sorghum and buckwheat flours with tapioca and potato starch to provide more protein, fibre, calcium, vitamins and minerals than non-wholegrain alternatives.

The blend was created by blogger and recipes writer Vicki Montague (the Free From Fairy) and can be used to make anything from bread to muffins, pastries, croissants and pasta.

The flour is available from Honest Eats.
