Ethical water brand Belu has extended its partnership with WaterAid which will see the social enterprise donate at least £1 million to the charity by 2020.

Since the partnership started in 2011, Belu has donated £555,662 to the clean water charity, transforming the lives of 37,044 people through improving access to safe water, hygiene and sanitation in the world’s poorest countries. Through the move Belu will donate 100% of its profits to WaterAid with a minimum commitment of £100,00 per year.

“We are immensely proud to be able to extend our partnership with WaterAid and donate all of our profits to help some of the world’s poorest people,” commented Karen Lynch, chief executive of Belu. “Just £15 can enable one person to access a lasting supply of safe water, improved hygiene and sanitation. That’s a lot of lives we’re transforming.”

“WaterAid are thrilled to extend their partnership with Belu into 2020 and continue to work together to transform lives around the world,” added Barbara Frost, chief executive of WaterAid. “Every time you choose to drink Belu, you are supporting WaterAid in their vision for a world where everyone, everywhere has access to clean, safe water and toilets by 2030.
