AA Skincare’s latest addition to its Essential’s offer is a range of natural roll-on deodorants, free from aluminium compounds, alcohol, parabens and artificial fragrance.

Using a bacteria-beating yeast enzyme and naturally deodorising pure essential oils and natural extracts, the roll-ons come in Grapefruit & Cedarwood – with a woody, zesty, fresh aroma; Lemongrass & Lavender – light and citrusy sweet; and Bergamot & Aloe to calm and soothe the skin.

Known as Saccharomyces ferment, the yeast enzyme in the products works with potassium sorbate and sodium benzoate to keep underarm bacteria to a minimum and neutralise odour-creating nitrogen compounds in perspiration.

“Our aim was to create the most effective natural deodorants possible, so we tested different formulae and ingredients in the development of the range’” said Woody Evans, director of AA Skincare. “Using the yeast enzyme fungi, Saccharomyces ferment, is key to the product’s effectiveness as this fungi feeds on smelly ammonia from sweat to make amino acids to help it grow.  Fungi growth is then inhibited by potassium sorbate and sodium benzoate, keeping bacteria to a minimum.  This process is then enhanced by the addition of essential oils with deodorizing properties and pleasant aromas.”
