Flavours from Florida

The sales and distribution team behind the American fish oils brand Wiley’s Finest has introduced another US brand to the UK market: Yaupon Brothers America Tea Co.

Pronounced ‘YOO-ponn’, the herbal teas derive from the yaupon holly which the brand says was discovered thousands of years ago by indigenous tribes on Florida and is the only native caffeinated plant in North America.

Yaupon Brothers sources its yaupon from along the Florida Indian River lagoon, where the plant grows wild. This main natural ingredient is enhanced in four flavour variations: Lavender Coconut, Traditional Green, Fire Roasted and Seminole Chai.

In alignment with the values of Wiley’s Finest, Yaupon Brothers maintains a strong commitment to sustainability. Bryon White, co-owner, explains: “We focus on developing natural products from the wild, specifically plants native to where we operate in Florida. The result is a sustainable agribusiness which can thrive without disrupting or damaging the natural environment. In addition to these practices, our products promote vitality, harmony with nature, and a joy for living well.”

The UK will appreciate Yaupon’s delicate flavour profile, mild caffeine content and multiple wellness-promoting properties

Speaking of the brand’s expansion into the UK market, White adds: “Consumers worldwide are recognizing the amazing benefits and flavour of American yaupon, and we are excited for what the future brings! We feel that consumers in the UK will appreciate Yaupon’s delicate flavour profile, mild caffeine content and multiple wellness-promoting properties.”

The USDA-certified organic teas are further endorsed by Wiley’s Finest managing director, Sam Wiley, who calls the range an ‘ancient, wild American alternative’.

“Our family has a commitment both to unique natural products and working with family owned and operated companies. We saw a great fit to work with Bryon and Kyle, the original Yaupon Brothers, to pioneer their amazing tasting tea in the UK,” says Wiley.
