During a session of Prime Minister’s Questions – held in Parliament on 19 January – UK VMS brand Natures Aid was given special mention, hailed for ‘flying the flag’ on exports.
The Lancashire-based specialist supplements company was described in Parliament by MP Mark Menzies as a ‘fantastic local business’ when he put it to the PM that Natures Aid is ‘doing a great job of flying the flag for Lancashire globally’.
Boris Johnson, PM, responded by pledging to ‘do everything that we can to help and support’ Menzies as he continues to champion export business for companies in his constituency following the UK’s withdrawal from the EU.
Natures Aid’s ‘strong export business’ has already been recognized via the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade for its distribution work in over 50 countries.
Chris Morrey, the brand’s general manager, says the distribution network across Europe, Asia and the Middle East which Natures Aid has built up over the past ten years has become ‘an essential part of our business’. The expansion was accelerated when the company took the decision to enter key export markets, such as Vietnam, by partnering with affiliates within its STADA parent group.
Back in the UK, Morrey says the team ‘remains proud to serve our UK-based customers with locally produced, high-quality natural health products’.
