The British Beauty Council (BBC) is urging beauty businesses to join it in celebrating the ‘power of beauty’ during its annual British Beauty Week initiative in September.
“The beauty industry has the ability to change lives and transform Britain’s economic and social fabric,” comments Millie Kendall, CEO of the BBC. “We want everyone to celebrate that fact. Whether it’s workshops, giveaways, offers and talks, all-week or day events – we want the British Beauty Week logo to be seen in windows and on websites across the breadth and depth of the UK to galvanize both the industry and shoppers alike.
“Many people have in the past underestimated the power of beauty. But if the pandemic has taught us anything, it is that our industry is at the heart of every community. It brings people together, it boosts confidence and wellbeing, and it provides an enormous contribution to the UK’s GDP. This is all something to celebrate.”
In order to demonstrate the power of beauty to consumers, business leaders and policymakers, the organization is calling on brands, retailers, salons, charities and e-commerce platforms of all sizes to create engaging initiatives for the five-day event which runs from 5 September 2022.
It’s free to participate and all successful applicants will have access to British Beauty Week assets, be listed on the initiative’s website and promoted via social media. Interested parties can download an application form on the BBC’s website.
