Raw chocolate ingredients supplier CHOC Chick has introduced Blissful Blends, a range of raw cacao chocolate powders.
The unique blends of raw cacao and natural spices are available in two initial varieties: Heart Warming Cinnamon and Marvellous Mandarin.
The powders can be used to create hot chocolate drinks, smoothies and shakes and are free from dairy, gluten, sugar and additives.
“Healthy and free-from options are growing trends, but customers still want variety and comfort,” explains Galia Orme, founder of CHOC Chick. “More and more people are choosing hot chocolate over coffee or tea. And, as their hot chocolate consumption increases, so too does their demand for more varieties and flavour combinations.”
The products will initially be exclusive to Holland & Barrett but will then be rolled out to independents. Each pouch provides enough of the blend for consumers to embark on the ‘20-day CHOC Crave Challenge’. By mixing a teaspoon of Blissful Blend with hot water in a small espresso cup and enjoying ten minutes before a meal, the company says that customers can raise energy levels, help keep chocolate cravings away and reduce appetite.
