The newest addition to the Bio-Kult family is Bio-Kult Pregnéa which has been specifically developed to cater for the nutritional needs of expectant and new mums.

The scientifically developed, multi-action Pregnéa formulation combines six live bacterial cultures, essential vitamins and minerals to support women through pregnancy, from pre-conception to beyond birth.

Stressing the importance of supporting the digestive system during pregnancy, Bio-Kult says that taking a daily dose of Bio-Kult Pregnéa can help maintain healthy levels of live bacteria in the gut as well as boosting vitamin and mineral intake.

The live bacterial cultures (total 4 x 109CFU per two capsule dose) in the product are: Lactobacillus plantarum PXN® 47TM, Bifidobacterium longum PXN 30TM, Lactobacillus rhamnosus PXN 54TM, Lactobacillus acidophilus PXN 35TM, Bifidobacterium bifidum PXN 23TM and Lactobacillus delbrueckii ssp. bulgaricus PXN 39TM.

Two capsules also contain 400mcg (200% NRV) of folic acid (as the more bioavailable form of 5-MTHF), which contributes to maternal tissue growth during pregnancy, along with 10mcg of vitamin D to aid the normal absorption of calcium and contribute to the normal function of the immune system.

In addition, 80mcg (21% NRV) of magnesium is included in the formulation to reduce tiredness and fatigue; 3mg (30% NRV) of zinc which helps immune function and contributes to normal fertility and reproduction; and 30mg (38% NRV) of vitamin C which also contributes to immune health.

Bio-Kult Pregnéa can be stored at room temperature so no need for refrigeration and the total bacteria count is viable until end of shelf life.
