Ahead of the summer BBQ season, Better Nature has introduced a new line of competitively priced, convenient products designed to make healthy, plant-based eating more accessible to consumers.
High in protein and fibre, the initial range consists of four tempeh-based foods: Southern-Style BBQ Ribz, Traditional & Tender Roast Bites, Shawarma-spiced Kebab Strips and Sweet & Smoky Rashers, the latter being included in a new Mindful Chef recipe launching in July.
“This new range is a result of our ongoing mission to make a plant-based lifestyle more accessible and enjoyable, by removing the need to compromise on either taste or nutrition when choosing plant-based foods,” explains Better Nature co-founder Fabio Rinaldo. “Our delicious new products can be prepared in just five minutes, meaning even those with a hectic lifestyle don’t need to compromise on nutrition. They take on more familiar forms than traditional tempeh, and we hope that this, paired with their great taste and versatility, will mean more flexitarians can choose meat-free more often.”
The products have been A rated by UK sustainability start-up Foodsteps on their carbon footprint and are carbon and plastic negative as part of the brand’s mission to make its products ‘as ethical and sustainable as possible and create meat-alternatives that don’t compromise on people, the planet or animals’.
To support the launch – which follows a £1.6 million seed round led by the Good Food Fund and Seedrs – Better Nature has created some new recipes on its website for customers to try.
