East Yorkshire VMS manufacturer Bee Health Ltd has topped off a period of growth by being named in the 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain 2017 report by the London Stock Exchange Group.

The report identifies some of the fastest-growing and most dynamic small and medium-sized enterprises in the UK. To be included in the list companies need to show consistent revenue growth over a minimum of three years, significantly outperforming their industry peers.

Steve Ryan, managing director of Bee Health says: “We are delighted to receive such a prestigious award for the company’s continued growth. Having invested in staff and machinery to ensure we are more adaptable to capitalize on the growth in the health supplement market, this award recognizes our commitment to be one of the leading natural product manufacturers.”

Bee Health produces over 100 million capsules and tablets a week at its 80,000sq ft state-of-the-art facility, for customers in over 40 countries. The company recently doubled the size of its manufacturing site in Bridlington, creating more warehousing, a new packing hall and 80 new jobs in the process.

In the last year the company has invested £1.4 million in new plant and machinery, including an additional softgel plant, making it the largest food supplement manufacturer in the UK, it says.

The company boasts BRC Grade A and is Halal, Kosher and Soil Association Certified.

Bee Health was recently awarded Supplier of the Year by Holland & Barrett.
