New Zealand based organic beauty brand Antipodes used last month’s Vivaness exhibition in Nuremberg as part of a simultaneous global trade launch for its new Moisture Boost Natural Lipsticks range.

Positioned as ‘healthy lipstick’, the new range is made using superfood ingredients – including avocado oil, calendula oil, evening primrose oil and argan oil – and also feature antibacterial beeswax, shea butter and jojoba oil and vitamin E.

Speaking to NPN on Antipodes stand at Vivaness, international business manager, Pieta Reid, explained why the range stands out: “It’s the quality of ingredients above all – they’re moisture boosting and the pigmentation is really long-lasting. With this new range, it’s about taking natural skincare and bringing it to colour cosmetics. With 12 fashion-forward shades there is great choice too.

Antipodes is keen to convey a health message over to consumers. “Our research shows that women digest about 3kg of lipstick over a lifetime, so we’ve got to be really conscious of what we’re putting on our lips. Our tagline – ‘lipsticks so healthy you could almost eat them’ – underlines our commitment in this important area.”
