SkinGenius is a new range of products specifically formulated for teenage skin and designed to combat and prevent acne using natural botanical ingredients.
Developed by Barefoot Botanicals’ co-founder Hilery Dorrian and her business partner beautician Julia Vearncombe, the three-strong ‘no junk’ SkinGenius range was developed to meet the demand for an effective, natural solution for teenage skin problems.
Clarifying Treatment Lotion is designed to banish bacteria and sooth inflamed skin. It includes anti-microbial calendula, witch hazel, healing agrimony, Oregon grape, and soothing yarrow and mallow.
The SkinGenius Facial Wash is formulated to help restore harmony to oily skin and uses Roman chamomile to calm and refresh the skin, ribwort to kill bacteria, red clover to reduce inflammation, and nettle, which is high in antioxidants and anti-bacterial and astringent.
SkinGenius Moisturizer combines hazelnut, macadamia and babassu seed oils with calendula, witch hazel and mallow to soften the skin and manage excess sebum.
“Around 80% of teenagers will develop some form of acne,” says Hilery. “Teenagers and their parents are crying out for a natural product that can genuinely work to rid them of acne and spots. Our products have been carefully created to include plenty of active botanical ingredients which will help calm and soothe troubled teenage skin while also addressing the main root causes of acne and spots.
Currently only sold online following a soft launch, the brand is keen to expand into retail outlets. “We are now looking to extend our reach to the health food and beauty trade,’ explains Hilery, “confident that SkinGenius will give a genuine and natural option for people who favour products designed to nurture, nourish and restore harmony to their skin.”
