This weekend, The Grocer announced its Top Launch of the Year for Petcare and independent Suffolk- based pet food brand Ted’s Bowl secured the number one spot, surpassing leading national and international brands within the category.
Ted’s Bowl, which specialises in frozen ready meals for dogs, launched earlier in the year and has gone from strength-to-strength since, highlighting the growing demand for healthy pet food meals.
After recognising the lack of nutrients and vitamins in leading pet food brands, Ted’s Bowl created its frozen ready meals – the first range of its kind in the UK. Filled with rich nutrients, each bowl is packed with only necessary ingredients comprising prime cuts of human-grade meat, added British produce including sweet potato, carrots and blackberries plus essential vitamins and minerals.
The Grocer’s accolade recognises Ted’s Bowl as a pioneer in petfood and acknowledges the change in consumer behaviour of pet owners, who want more for their dogs than feeding them the traditional tinned choices or depending on a dry kibble diet.
Sara Pearson, Co-founder of Ted’s Bowl said: “We’re delighted to receive the Grocer’s award for Top Launch of the Year within Petcare. With the surge in pet numbers, a new wave of pet parents is emerging. They’re young, urban, and eager to provide the best nutrition. These shoppers are familiar in their own lives with quality ready meals with brands such a Cook and byRuby, so they recognise the convenience of giving a superior balanced ready meal to their pets. Ted’s Bowl is both fine dining and responsible dining for dogs.”
