Inspired by Ayurvedic principles, You-create-Beauty is a new skin, body and hair care brand developed to give consumers ‘creative power’ by offering DIY subscription boxes delivered bi-monthly.
The boxes have launched with three initial recipes – My Blemish Resolution Cleansing Face Scrub, My Calmness Nourishing Face Mist and My Iridescence Moisturizing Face Oil – each of which can be tailored to suit one of the three Ayurvedic doshas: vata, pitta, and kapha.
The You-create-Beauty DIY beauty recipes use only natural and/or organic ingredients. The recipes are quick to make, says the brand, and the boxes include all the mixing tools required.
As part of You-create-Beauty’s initiative to limit the amount of paper usage and waste, it sends the DIY beauty recipes to customers as PDFs.
Speaking about the reason behind the creation of the brand, founder and owner Sherina Rathor says: “There are so many skincare, bodycare and hair care products out there in the beauty market and very little is known about the origins of the ingredients and their health implications. I wanted to bring beauty back to the very basics by empowering customers to create their blends at home using the idea of DIY beauty recipes inspired by the ancient Indian practice of Ayurveda. It’s about ease, transparency and creativity.”
