Almost a century after launching its Skin Food natural moisturizer, Weleda is set to add three new products to its line-up: Skin Food Light, Skin Food Lip Balm and Skin Food Body Butter.
Skin Food Light is made with key ingredients of the original, but with a lighter texture, and aims to leave skin feeling soft, smooth and hydrated. Suitable for oily and combination skin, the formulation includes skin-healing calendula, soothing chamomile, smoothing viola tricolor and revitalizing rosemary. The addition of organic cocoa seed butter and organic shea butter enables the moisturizer to glide on smoothly. Skin Food Light is naturally scented with essential oils of sweet orange and lavender for a slightly fresher, but still instantly recognisable, Skin Food fragrance, and is suitable for everyday use on face and body.
Skin Food Lip Balm is lightly perfumed with natural essential oils and has a rich texture to comfort dry or chapped lips and protect against the elements. Rosemary, viola tricolor, chamomile and calendula are combined with natural waxes to nourish, moisturize, and leave lips feeling soft and supple. The balm is suitable for those intolerant to gluten.
The final product in the new trio is Skin Food Body Butter, a vegan formula for dry skin that combines cocoa butter and shea butter to create a rich whipped texture that melts into the skin, while essential oil from the aromatic resin of the benzoin tree adds a warm dimension to the original sweet orange fragrance.
