Free From Skincare Awards

Once again, natural and organic brands came to the fore at the annual Free From Skincare Awards this year.

Weleda’s Skin Food Body Butter won Overall Award for Best Free From Skincare Product; Lyonsleaf, Calendula and Marshmallow Balm was awarded the Free From Achievement Award; Bloom and Blossom’s Anti Stretch Mark Cream got Gold in Family Skincare; The Handmade Soap Company, Lemongrass & Cedarwood Shampoo won best Hair Care; and Beauty Kubes Shampoo & Body Wash For Men took first in the Men’s Grooming category.

Other natural winners included Casa Mencarelli, Odylique, Fiini Naturally, Kinvara Skincare, NATHEO Natural Skincare, Lucy Bee and Honey Bee Beautiful.

“This year we opened up the Awards to all European brands, and the standard of entries from countries such as Spain, Greece, Finland, Bulgaria and Germany was impressive,” explains awards coordinator, Alex Gazzola. “Judges and testers were excited to discover products that they wouldn’t ordinarily be able to try. Hopefully some of these brands can soon secure wider distribution across the UK.”
