On 11 November, natural cosmetics retailer Lush opened its largest shop in Ireland, in Dundrum town centre, spanning 2,311 sq ft and creating 25 new jobs.
As part of the Lush mission to ‘Leave the world Lusher than we found it’ and in a bid to reduce the environmental impact and waste of the refit process, the shop features new furniture produced from ethically sourced and durable materials alongside repurposed and refinished pine furniture from other stores.
To celebrate the grand opening, customers were able to take part in a number of in-store activities on the day, including pressing and personalizing some of Lush’s best-selling bath bombs.
“We’ve been working towards bringing Lush to the people of Dundrum for quite some time, and I’m so thrilled that we’re finally starting to put our Irish expansion plans into motion.” comments Adam Barnes, Lush UK&I retailer, based in Ireland. “The new store, as our biggest in Ireland, will bring people together through spaces to create perfect, personalized gifts for loved ones, throwing a party with friends or meeting our wonderful store team.
“Being able to offer visitors to the centre more choice in ethical cosmetics, private party experiences, and of course – top class customer service, we hope will add further to the expansive offering in Dundrum.”
In addition to fresh, handmade cosmetic and body care products, the Dundrum retail experience includes bespoke skincare consultations and bookable Lush parties.
The shop will also feature the retailer’s new packaging returns scheme, Bring It Back: for each plastic Lush item a customer returns, they will receive a 50c deposit to spend on their Lush basket that day.
