Trafalgar Street in Brighton is set to be the home of the first Lush HairLab this autumn, a space designed to offer a holistic approach to hairdressing, while embracing inclusivity and waste reduction.

As well as washing, cutting and styling, Lush HairLab will offer natural colouring using the brand’s henna hair dye and aims to cater for every hair type. A team of texture-specialist hair artists will be on hand to listen ‘to the client’s desires, working in collaboration with them to express their personal aesthetic like never before’.

self-expression and excellence combine to redefine your hair journey

The salon will also feature a unique ‘spa for your head’ – a botanical washroom where clients will be ‘bathed in light and sound’ while their hair and scalp are treated with a choice of hard or soft water, using Lush hair care products and herbal infusions.

To fit with the brand’s ‘all are welcome, always’ philosophy, the HairLab will offer no-mirror and silent treatments, quiet hours with reduced music and lighting, and gender-affirming events, such as trans masculine shaving workshops.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone to the Lush HairLab to witness the future of hair services – where self-expression and excellence combine to redefine your hair journey, leading by example in the hair industry,” comments Daisy Evans, Lush hair lead.
