To coincide with National Zero Waste Week, Holland & Barrett (H&B) launched a limited edition online-only Zero Waste Beauty Bag which proved so popular it sold out within three days.

The Zero Waste Beauty Bag contained 11 vegan products – from innovative brands including Beauty Kitchen, Ethique, UpCircle, Humble, My White Secret and – and was designed as both a way for H&B to introduce consumers to sustainable beauty and a cost-effective top-up for those already using eco-friendly cosmetics. The products included items such as body cream, floss, a moisture mask, cotton pads, soap and deodorant.

“We’re excited to have been the first UK high street retailer to offer a starter kit-style sustainable beauty bundle,” comments Joanne Cooke, Head of beauty at Holland & Barrett. “This limited edition launch sold out within 3 days, highlighting the consumer appetite for affordable eco-friendly options, and we plan to offer more exciting limited edition products in the future.”

“When you shop with us, either with this new combined bag or any of our standalone brands, you’ll find products that are zero waste, recyclable and refillable, waterless and palm-oil free,” continues Cooke. “You also won’t find parabens, SLS or micro plastics in any of the products that we sell, because there should be no compromise on the products you put on your skin, hair, face or body.”

Worth over £65, the bag was on sale for a bargain £20, but only for the duration of the campaign.
