This month sees Faith in Nature extend its ‘reduce, reuse, recycle’ ethos with a new sustainable rewards scheme created in partnership with digital loyalty scheme, Embargo.
The move is designed to encourage customers to choose refillable instead of single-use bottle purchases to help reduce the use of plastic and overall impact on the planet. By switching customers from smaller bottles to refill formats, Faith in Nature saves around 40 tonnes of plastic per year from entering the market and by partnering with Embargo, it hopes to make this swap even easier for customers and cut plastic usage even further.
For each refillable purchase, customers tap their phone on an in-store device and they will be rewarded with additional points. Once they have collected five points, a free Faith in Nature refill will be automatically unlocked in the app and is redeemable at participating UK stores.
The reward scheme also aims to bring support to independent stores and help to create a valuable incentive for customers to continue shopping on the UK high street. The Faith in Nature/Embargo partnership will roll out across 30 stores over the next 12 months. Confirmed stores so far include Best Health Food Shop (Sussex), Refill Van (Kettering), The Hive Hut (Wantage), Lentils and Lather (Withington), New Leaf Zero Waste (Reigate) and Heart & Compass (Basingstoke).
The Embargo loyalty app is free to download and fully contactless, without the need for physical stamp cards.
