In a milestone celebration of its 50th anniversary, the family-run company Faith In Nature has unveiled a series of eco-conscious product innovations. The brand, known for its natural, vegan, and cruelty-free products, is transitioning to infinitely recyclable aluminium packaging and enhancing its formulations with more active natural ingredients.
Founded in 1974, Faith In Nature has a long history of pioneering sustainability. The company introduced plastic-saving refills and bulk options in the 1980s and switched to 100% recycled plastic bottles in the 1990s. In a groundbreaking move in 2022, Faith In Nature became the first company to appoint Nature as a voting member of its board, directly influencing its business decisions.
“2024 marks our next evolution, into infinitely recyclable metal, manufacturing using less water and less carbon. And adding more active natural ingredients to every product because we are as uncompromising on efficacy as we are on sustainability,” says Faith In Nature’s founder, Rivka Rose. “Turning 50 is not about looking back, but looking forward. It’s about planting the seeds that will grow our faith in the next 50 years.”
Brand director, Simeon Rose, says, “These are the first products in the world that Nature has actually had an active role in the development of. As a voting board member, Nature has supported the move into 100% recycled and infinitely recyclable aluminium and to Nature positive sourcing of ingredients. Imagine how different supermarket shelves might look if Nature had a say all product development.”
Faith In Nature’s updated product range includes shampoos, conditioners, body washes, and hand washes, now containing 99.5% natural ingredients, up from 99%. The new formulations feature botanical extracts such as rosemary, nettle, and chamomile for hair care, and oat, lime, and elderberry for body care. The ingredients are selected not only for their effectiveness but also for their positive environmental impact. For instance, tea tree oil supports koala habitats, shea butter aids women’s cooperatives in Ghana, and Scottish seaweed is harvested sustainably.
With a commitment to eliminating plastic, the new 500ml range is packaged in 100% recycled aluminum, combining eco-friendly credentials with aesthetic appeal. The revamped products are available from June 17th on the Faith In Nature website.
