Discount supermarket chain Aldi has introduced a line of environmentally-friendly beauty products to the UK under its Lacura brand.
The initial two-strong range consists of an Eco Starter Pack and Eco Thoughtful brush set, both of which are available online and designed to encourage customers to make easy swaps in a bid to reduce their carbon footprint.
The Lacura Eco Starter Pack packages a Honey Shampoo Bar, Cherry Blossom Conditioner Bar and Lime Ginger Body Wash Bar in a reusable tin and aims to provide ‘everything you need to be cleansed from top-to-toe’. The plastic-free products are made with natural ingredients including sweet almond oil, vitamin E, shea butter and cacao butter.
The Lacura Eco Thoughtful set features four make-up applicators with handles made from biodegradable materials and featuring vegan bristles. Packaged in a zip-up pouch made from cotton and plant materials, the set includes a powder brush, angled blush brush, all-over shadow brush and angled liner brush that can double as an eyebrow brush.
