The Nordic region’s trade expo for certified organic food and drink, Nordic Organic Food Fair has revealed its stella line-up of expert speakers. Renowned for providing unrivalled insights and panel discussions – experts from IKEA, Lidl, COOP Sverige, Svensk Dagligvaruhandel, Martin & Servera, Organic Sweden, IFOAM Organics, KRAV (and many more) will take to the Main Stage on 9-10 October, at Kistamässan, Stockholm.

Insightful Organic Insights
A key draw for many visitors who attend is the annual Big Nordic Organic Debate, facilitated by Joanna Wierzbicka, Strategic Initiatives Manager at IFOAM Organics. During this exciting panel, Nordic leaders will share their insight into the Nordic markets, emerging trends, the effects of a war and how a Nordic collaboration is key to growing organic market share. Panellists include Charlotte Bladh André, CEO of Organic Sweden; Aura Lamminparras, CEO of Pro Luomu; and Kari Marte Sjøvik, Project Manager at Økologisk Norge (Organic Norway).
The Big Nordic Organic Debate will take place October 9 – 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM.
Another way to get ahead of organic trends is to catch Mary Allen (Founder of Natural Brand Works) speaking about 10 trends to watch in 2025. Mary Allen will discuss the top trends, insights and opportunities that are currently driving interest and sales in natural and organic CPG foods, beverage, and healthy living categories. Including a few key trends that will continue to influence future brand development, and products in the market.
10 Trends to Watch in 2025 will take place October 9 – 16:30 PM – 17:00 PM.
As well as this, visitors can explore the power of nudging with Heidi Haavisto-Meier, Specialist at Pro Luomu, and Anton Järild, Communication Strategist at Organic Sweden. This session about “Nudging Organic” will highlight the international project that is pioneering new ways to influence consumer behaviour towards organic products through subtle yet effective nudging techniques.
Nudging Organic: Inspiring Strategies from Finland and Sweden to Drive Sustainable Consumption will take place on October 10 – 10:30 AM – 11:15 AM.
Lastly, KRAV’s CEO Emma Rung will reveal her thoughts about the future of the organic market and what trends we see now and going forward. She will also present the KRAV ‘Go Organic’ Award, a prize that celebrates organic products and ideas that truly make a difference.
The Future Organic Movement – Trends in the Organic Market will take place October 10 – 15:45 PM – 16:05 PM. And GO Award (Go Organic Award) will take place October 10 – 16:05 PM – 16:30 PM.
Sustainability and Waste Management Talks
As well as the topic of ‘organic’, the programme will include talks and panels about sustainability in our food systems, food waste management, plus how it affects health and much more.
Sustainability is an important issue in grocery retail that shapes the challenges and solutions of the future, therefore Filip Ekander, Hållbarhetsansvarig Svensk Dagligvaruhandel will facilitate an important panel titled: Framtidens dagligvaruhandel.
Join this Swedish speaking session to hear initiatives, solutions and challenges that give insight into what the future will look like from leading retail sustainability experts. Panellists include Mattis Bergquist, Head of Sustainability at Coop Sverige; Åsa Domeij, Head of Sustainability at Axfood; Anders Axelsson, Chef Hållbarhetsstrategi & Utveckling at ICA Sverige AB; and Anneli Bylund, Hållbarhetschef at Lidl Sverige.
