The Protein Ball Co has relaunched its brand to focus on the sports nutrition category, unveiling a fresh logo and packaging along with new varieties with extra nutritional benefits.

The Sussex-based company’s range of 100% natural, no-added-sugar protein balls are now available in ten flavours over three new categories: High Protein, Plant Protein and Breakfast-to-go.

The new High Protein range includes Peanut Butter, Cacao + Orange, Coconut + Macadamia and Cherry Bakewell; the Plant Protein offer features Lemon + Pistachio, Goji + Coconut, Raspberry Brownie and Peanut Butter; and the new Breakfast-to-go line comprises Coffee Oat Muffin and Blueberry Oat Muffin, which are also suitable for vegans and boast high fibre to keep consumers fuelled until lunch.

Protein is still the buzz word in the fitness industry, but people want healthy, clean proteins that they can grab and go

The company says that the ingredients have also been improved, with more nutrients including vitamin B12, C and D3, and the balls are also free from gluten, wheat, GMOs and palm oil.

“The sports nutrition category is very competitive and ever changing so we wanted to relaunch our brand to appeal to a whole variety of consumers from sports people, to gym enthusiasts, fitness experts and healthy-eating gurus,” explains brand founder Matt Hunt. “Protein is still the buzz word in the fitness industry, but people want healthy, clean proteins that they can grab and go.

“By taking a close look at our branding and range of products, we’ve made tweaks and changes and introduced new flavours and categories to ensure that The Protein Ball Co will appeal to anyone looking for a healthy, nutritious, delicious and satisfying snack.”
