In what must be every chocoholic’s dream, Sheer Immune is the first daily supplement chocolate bar from British start-up Sheer Element.

The raw chocolate has a ‘zesty citrus taste profile’ and has been created as an indulgent alternative to pills or capsules, with each bar containing 22 vitamins, 72 minerals, prebiotics, antioxidants and medicinal mushrooms to nourish mind, body and gut.

With high levels of vitamins C, D, A, K2, magnesium, selenium and zinc for day-to-day wellness, energy and to protect against seasonal illnesses and viruses, the bars also include vitamins B6, B12 and B9 help with fatigue and tiredness, along with Ayurvedic herbal extracts, ionic minerals and ancient soil-based prebiotics.

“Sheer Element is very much inspired by the ritual food state delivery of therapeutic botanicals and mushrooms I experienced in South America and in Southeast Asia,” says founder Matthew Newsome. “We are turning what I saw as mindless consumption of pills and capsules into a ritual moment you can actually mindfully enjoy, taking time to connect to wellness and savour the powerful ingredients, all with your eyes closed. It’s also the combination of two of my favourite daily wellness routines, supplementing myself with nature’s pharmacopeia and indulging in delicious artisanal chocolate.”

Sheer Immune is refined sugar-free, vegan-friendly and contains around 280 calories per bar. It is available in single 50g bars as well as One Week or One Month Journey Boxes.

The company ethically sources organic cacao beans from Peruvian small-scale farmers and gives 10% of annual profits to its charitable partner TreeSisters.
