Plant-based food brand Huel has announced that it is situating five vending machines at London’s Heathrow Airport stocked with its on-the-go ready-to-drink SKUs.

The Huel vending machines will be located within Heathrow’s terminal 5 to offer travellers easy grab-and-go meals that provide 26 essential vitamins and minerals, protein, essential fats, carbohydrates, fibre and phytonutrients.

“Consumer demand for Huel has increased over the last year at an exciting pace,” comments Huel CEO James McMaster. “Not only have we seen growth with new consumers seeking more plant-based food that also offers complete nutrition, but we’ve made sure our most on-the-go products have become available in more locations for impulse purchase. As we start to see the international travel market open up, we’re really happy to have our vending machines in Heathrow.”

Huel has also announced that its RTD products will be available nationwide across 500 Tesco stores around the UK.

In addition to powders and bars, Huel’s line-up includes its new Hot & Savoury meals, complete vegan meals with rice, quinoa, vegetables, herbs and spices. Ready in under five minutes they come in Sweet & Sour, Madras and Korma flavours. It also recently launched what is claimed to be the world’s first nutritionally complete vegan protein powder.
