The latest addition to Stem & Glory’s online store is a new ‘finish-at-home’ vegan pizza concept – part of an expansion of the vegan brand’s e-commerce offer which delivers meals throughout the UK.
The new Stem & Glory pizzas join a range of vegan recipe kits, artisan pasta kits, wine, UK-brewed craft beer and healthy soft drinks offered on the vegan restaurant’s online shop which launched in January.
Described as having ‘a Stem & Glory healthy twist’, the menu includes Spicy Kimchi, BBQ Pineapple and Italian Sausage toppings made in-house entirely from vegetables, for example, celeriac ‘ham’. The pizzas arrive ready to bake at home and are served with drizzles, dressings and fresh micro herbs to be added after cooking. The traditional hand-stretched Italian bases are made with slow-proved sourdough, with socca bases available for those requiring a gluten-free option.
The launch of our online store has wildly exceeded our expectations and it’s been fantastic to be back in the kitchen
“We created our artisan pizza menu during the first lockdown, intending to launch at our new Cambridge site, but this new lockdown has allowed us to develop it into a finish-at-home version,” explains Stem & Glory founder Louise Palmer-Masterton.
“The launch of our online store has wildly exceeded our expectations and it’s been fantastic to be back in the kitchen and get creative with something completely new and inspiring,” she adds. “Our chefs have risen to the challenge of adapting and developing our meals to suit the serve-at-home model. We’re excited to see the store continue to develop once we are open again and beyond.
“We very much see the omni-channel model as one that suits our long-term growth strategy. Most of all we’ve been absolutely made up to receive outstanding support both from our existing community and well beyond our home towns of Cambridge and London. We have literally served our meals the length and breadth of the UK.”
