Piccolo Pots, claimed to be the first ever split-pot baby food in the world, have just launched onto the UK market.

Suitable for stage 3 and above, the organic split-pot range comprises Mediterranean-inspired meals based around textured grains with a vegetable-packed sauce. They are available in three varieties: Quinoa with Vegetable Ratatouille with a Pinch of Basil; Baby Pasta with Sweet Potato Bolognese with a Pinch of Basil; and Tricolore Baby Pasta with Vegetable & Kale Petro with a Pinch of Basil.

The pots are designed to ensure the nutrients are kept in and the grains retain their texture. Each one includes a traditional Mediterranean sauce, full of at least six different types of vegetable, along with beans and a variety of grains designed to help introduced new textures and encourage biting.

Commenting on the launch, Cat Gazzoli, founder of Piccolo, says: “I have long wanted to offer parents something for when their little ones have moved on from purees.  We know that offering texture to babies can help with many forms of development and so we were committed to making the best product we could for the next stage. Our Piccolo Pots are a world first in baby food: the split pots keep the nutrients in the veg-packed sauce and the texture in the grains, meaning parents can be confident it not only tastes good, but does good too.”

100% organic, the ingredients for the pots have been sourced from small Italian producers.
