After receiving what the Organic Trade Board calls a ‘diverse and exciting range of nominations’ for the Oak Award 2018, five nominees have been shortlisted ahead of the awards presentation on 25 October, to be held at the Yeo Valley Canteen.

The shortlist comprises: Julie Brown, Growing Communities; Susie Hewson, Natracare; Anthony Snell, Windmill Hill Farm; Alex Smith, Alara Wholefoods; and Andrew Wilkinson, Gilchesters Organics.

Each nominee will be considered for their ‘exceptional contribution to the UK organic sector’.

Funds raised through the awards evening will go towards Organic Research Centre, a leading independent research centre for the development of organic food production.
