Following its acquisition of healthy pretzel brand Indie Bay Snacks early this month, food and beverage FMCG company Nurture Brands has now bought ethical chocolate firm Doisy & Dam.

On his LinkedIn page, Ben Arbib, founder of Nurture Brands and co-founder of Rebel Kitchen, posted: “A warm welcome Doisy & Dam to the Nurture Family, adding an ethical confectionary string to our bow and our second acquisition in October.”

And the company doesn’t want to stop with this latest purchase: “With our recent acquisitions, 2023 looks like it will be a breakout year for Nurture Brands with a pathway to profitability despite the turbulence of the market,” Arbib continues.

Our dream is for Nurture Brands to be the food and beverage choice of a new generation

“Whilst it has been a tough few years for many brands in our industry, one thing I have learnt is that we are stronger together. So if you are a brand owner and finding it hard going alone, then please get in touch to see if we can work together.

“Our dream is for Nurture Brands to be the food and beverage choice of a new generation – perhaps even be a healthier, more sustainable version of PepsiCo. Watch this space.”

Doisy & Dom, which was founded in 2013 by Edward Smith and Richard Wilkinson, joins Nurture Brands’ existing stable of plant-based names, including Rebel Kitchen, Ape, The Primal Pantry, Myracle Kitchen, Emily and Jax Coco.
