Ella’s Kitchen, the UK’s leading baby and kids’ food brand, has announced a new partnership with eevie, an employee climate engagement app and fellow B-Corp. The partnership comes as Ella’s Kitchen seeks to drive forward its sustainability targets by inspiring employee action and encouraging climate conscious behaviour.
The app encourages employees to adopt sustainable habits, both at work and in their personal lives, by setting challenges designed to reduce individual carbon footprints. The app also rewards these efforts, adding an extra layer of motivation to support the brand’s broader environmental goals.
The app will be used to accelerate Ella’s Kitchen’s 30×30 campaign, which has seen the brand partner with the RSPB to plant over 30million square feet of grass and wildflower meadows by 2030, while advocating for the further restoration and rewilding of grassland meadows across the UK.
Through the partnership with eevie, Ella’s Kitchen employees will be rewarded with wildflower plug plants for completed challenges – all of which will be planted in one of three* RSPB protected sites across the UK.
In addition to encouraging eco-friendly behaviour, the eevie app offers educational resources to raise awareness about climate issues. Every time a team member reads an article, listens to a podcast, or completes an educational programme, they will be rewarded through the app.
The partnership plays a pivotal role in helping Ella’s Kitchen meet its overarching sustainability targets, including its goal of reducing Scope 3 emissions by 28% by 2030. The app will encourage a behaviour change in employees, incentivising them to make the small changes needed to meet these goals.
Chris Jenkins, Head of Impact at Ella’s Kitchen UK said:
“Our children are growing up in the middle of a climate and nature crisis, and it’s on all of us to take action to protect their future. At Ella’s Kitchen, we’ve set big goals to reduce carbon emissions and change how we operate – from using easier-to-recycle packaging to working with partners to cut emissions across our supply chain. But it’s also important to show our team how the small changes they make can have a big impact.
“That’s why we’re so excited to partner with eevie, a fellow B Corp. The eevie app will educate, inspire, and encourage our employees to make simple, climate-friendly, and nature-positive choices every day. And for every climate conscious choice they make, they will help us plant more wildflowers – supporting our goal to restore and rewild 30 million square feet of meadows by 2030. In just one year, we expect to plant 100,000 square feet of wildflowers, all thanks to our employees’ small changes!
