Divine Chocolate is for the first time adding an organic range to its Fairtrade chocolate selection.

Launching in September, the new five-strong range of 80g dark chocolate bars uses certified organic Fairtrade cocoa sourced from farmers in the West African island of São Tomé. The offer features four flavoured bars with 85% cocoa – Turmeric & Ginger, Blueberry & Popped Quinoa, Lemon, and Cocoa Nibs – and a 95% plain Rich Dark Chocolate bar.

Packaged in a new ‘garden-fresh’ style but still with the distinctive gold Divine logo and pattern layout, the organic line comes in pale card with a colour palette and hand-print design which aims to capture its exotic origins, ingredients and flavours. The chocolate is wrapped in a clear biodegradable film and the packaging is all plastic-free.

“There’s a big opportunity to attract new customers with the organic range,” says Chris Noel, sales director for the brand. “With consumers becoming more mindful of health trends, this new line taps into the growing desire for more healthful treats. The range is certified Fairtrade, organic, non-GMO and vegan and offers five delicious high cocoa and low-sugar chocolate bars. With these new flavourful combinations we’re confident Divine Chocolate’s organic range will give shoppers the luxurious treats they can feel good about enjoying.”
