I wanted to create a snack that harnessed all the goodness of the cocoa bean, tastes delicious and is accessible for all
“My aim has always been to make raw chocolate accessible, first through our unique raw chocolate making kits, organic raw cacao ingredients and blended cacao powders and now our new and innovative raw chocolate snacks,” says Choc Chick founder Galia Orme. “Raw chocolate has been recognized for years now as a superfood high in fibre, iron and magnesium. It’s minimally processed, dairy-free, gluten-free and lower in sugar than commercially produced confectionaries, so I wanted to create a snack that harnessed all the goodness of the cocoa bean, tastes delicious and is accessible for all.
“I spent some time in a chocolate factory in Ecuador last year perfecting the recipe and am absolutely delighted by the taste of our new snacks. Our focus is on chocolate lovers who are seeking healthy alternatives but aren’t willing to compromise on taste or indulgence. We call them ‘serious chocolate heads’, and they are at the heart of our rebrand.”
