The Windmill Organics brand Biona has introduced a raft of new products including fruit spreads, jackfruit and burgers.
The Biona Organic Fruit Spreads are beet and cane sugar-free, naturally sweetened with organic apple juice, and available in Strawberry, Apricot and Forest Fruit.
And for more sweet treats, Biona has created an Organic Duo Chocolate Hazelnut Spread, combining rich creamy white chocolate and nutty hazelnut milk chocolate all in one go, as well as two new Organic Yoghurt Coated Rice Cakes in Strawberry and Plain varieties.
Reacting to the growing popularity of the humble Jackfruit, Biona has introduced Organic Jackfruit in Salted Water. A good source of vitamins, this tropical fruit is very versatile and can be used as a meat substitute.
Biona’s Organic Demeter Brown Lentils are pre-cooked and provide a good source of plant-based protein. They can be used for warm salads, casseroles and stuffing as they retain their shape after cooking.
The brand’s Organic Beansprouts are naturally sweet and crunchy white sprouts, which add a crisp texture to stir-fries and noodle dishes. They are precooked and ready to eat straight from the jar.
Biona’s Organic Black Chickpeas are Italian and provide a colourful twist on the classic store cupboard staple. They contain all the usual chickpea goodness and are ready to eat straight from the can, to be added to soups, stews or salads.
And finally Biona has cooked up 100% organic and plant-based vegan burgers made with sweet potato, buckwheat, fresh vegetables and pumpkin seeds. These Biona Organic Sweet Potato Burgers can be eaten hot or cold.
