Organic and gluten-free bakery Artisan Bread Organic has introduced a range of meat-free burgers.

The two mushroom-based burgers were created following customer requests for vegetarian products, according to owner Ingrid Eissfeldt. “In a recent survey our customers asked us to create a meat replacement, so that’s exactly what we’ve done – as always, without gums or additives and using the finest, organic ingredients.”

The two products are: Mushroom Burgers which can be fried or grilled and are made with mushrooms, quinoa and turmeric (pack of four); and Burger in a Bun, which is baked into a sourdough style roll for easy eating at BBQ’s, festivals and parties (pack of two).

Both burgers are created using certified organic, gluten-free ingredients, including button mushrooms, quinoa, pea protein, turmeric and the seaweed dilisk (often referred to as vegan ‘bacon’).
