However, it also presents enormous opportunities to innovate and expand in international markets and this event is the ideal place to connect, learn and prosper together on this exciting journey.”
Strong sector support
Ecovalia , as the main sponsor of the event, will participate together with Agrobio , a Portuguese association of organic production, facilitating the exhibition of producers from Spain and Portugal, a country that redoubles its commitment to the organic sector with the help of Portugal Foods in the Iberian Peninsula.
INTERECO actively participates with new partners: CRAEGA and CAECyL , the organic farming committees of Galicia and Castilla y León, respectively. Thus, they will have a total of 600m² between their partners and Valencia, a region highlighted by the 30th anniversary of the CAECV and for being the largest grouped participation of this edition with 25 producers. ASOBIO will be present as important representatives of the organic sector in presentations and activities.
Also the Spanish Association of Distributors, Self-Services and Supermarkets (ASEDAS) , representing 19,200 retail distribution establishments, 495 wholesale distribution establishments and more than 10.6 million square meters of food and mass consumption commercial area, which represents 75, 4% of food distribution in Spain.

The organic sector continues to grow
According to the 2024 Annual Report prepared by Ecovalia , the total market for organic products in Spain reached 3,000 million euros, with an average per capita expenditure of 64 euros, placing Spain in the top 10 in the world. “The organic sector is experiencing a moment of progress in consumption after a slowdown in 2022, but greenwashing is one of the fundamental challenges we face. Organic Food Iberia is a key event for the promotion of the organic sector in southern Europe in one of the main producing countries in Europe such as Spain. Ecovalia has supported the fair from the beginning by being clear about the need for our country, as leaders in production, to host a professional event of these characteristics,” highlights Diego Granado , Secretary General of Ecovalia .
What’s new in the fifth edition
As a great novelty, BIO TECH is inaugurated , an area dedicated exclusively to bioinputs and auxiliary industries, vital for sustainable agriculture. Sponsored by ROCA Defisan , you will discover the most innovative ways to improve the land for the environment.
Also highlighting is the Meet the Buyer activity , where exhibitors will have the opportunity to meet with buyers from organic product chains such as Veritas , Herbolario Navarro and NaturaSì at their stands. Additionally, through the Live Connect platform, buyers will be able to schedule meetings in real time for networking , chat and agendas, functioning as a business social network up to one year after the end of the fair.
“For us it is an opportunity to discover innovative products that may interest our clientele. In addition, we want to take the opportunity to close new agreements with suppliers with whom we already work,” Carolina Girbés, Director of Marketing and Communication at Herbolario Navarro .
Sophie Pagnon, Chief Communication, Marketing & Impact Officer at Veritas : «The organic sector is in the construction phase, not only because we continue to have didactic work as the basis of our value proposition, but because there is a lot of market left to develop, especially in the demand. The certified organic product is the only healthy option, proven and endorsed by Europe, and we must be able to guarantee that consumers have the most information and have access to tasty and healthy products. The fair is the ideal meeting point to verify the sector’s commitment to continue innovating and providing solutions for better nutrition.
