The Free From Skincare Awards, which are in their eleventh year, have announced the winners, with British spa skincare brand SenSpa crowned overall champion Best Free From Skincare Product 2022 for its Relaxing Talc Free Body Powder.
The Best Free From Brand Award was won by North Wales’s Rhug Wild Beauty, which also took two golds and three silvers in the individual product categories.
Other Gold winners include: LUMI Men Aftershave Toner (Men’s Grooming); Lyonsleaf Calendula & Marshmallow Balm (Family Skincare); Palm Free (Zero-Waste) Irish Soap Ltd, TLC Shampoo Bar (Hair Care); Uoga Uoga, Mascara – No Drama No Fun (Eye Care); SELF, All Day Freshness Deo (Deodorants); Odylique, Organic Mineral Lipstick #15 – Praline (Lip Care); and The Moher Soap Co, Burren Meadow (Soap Bars).
“For the first time in the history of the Awards, over half of Gold medals were given to brands outside the UK,” comments Alex Gazzola, awards director. “We saw a trend towards minimalist, fragrance-free skincare from mainland Europe, with Merme Berlin, Laponie of Scandinavia and LUMI (from Estonia), who all did exceptionally well, plus more traditional British fragranced products from SenSpa, Rhug Wild Beauty and ANI Skincare, taking several top honours too.”
