The team behind the Free From Skincare Awards has announced the launch of the Free From Gift Awards, a standalone auxiliary award which will run from September to November.
“For years, the Free From Skincare Awards have been dedicated solely to individual cosmetics and their performance, but entrants regularly ask us whether they can submit a gift box, beauty set or other skincare collection,” says awards’ director Alex Gazzola. “Well, now they can!”
Timed to coincide with the run-up to Christmas, the awards are looking for boxes and sets of between two and six items, at least half of which must be skincare products meeting the same criteria of the Free From Skincare Awards.
Categories include Face Care, Bath & Body Care, Soap Bars and Men’s Grooming, as well as themed awards, including Vegan Gifts, Sleep & Serenity and Luxury Gifts.
“Although testers and judges will be looking for the usual attributes of efficacy, clear labelling, skin benefits, value for money and more, there will be an additional focus on the gifting aspect,” adds Gazzola. “Is the box or set a great gift to give? Or to receive? This is what we’ll be asking and looking for.”
The closing date for entries is 27 September and the winners will be announced in November.
