The Soil Association and Organic Trade Board will have an even bigger joint presence at this year’s Natural & Organic Products Europe event (2-3 April 2017, ExCel, London).
Their Growing Organic Together pavilion will feature a 65% increase in the number exhibitors – with over 30 organic brands already on board. The pavilion also gets a prominent new location at the front of the show
The Soil Association and OTB’s strengthened presence at the ExCel show is set against a background of continuing market growth for organic. Retail analyst Nielsen recently reported a 5.6% increase in organic sales in the 52 weeks to 13 August 2016.
Clare McDermott, business development director at Soil Association Certification said: “The organic market is in the fourth consecutive year of growth against continuing decline in non-organic food sales. There are clear opportunities across a variety of sectors, with growth driven by fresh produce and grocery, but also home baking and store cupboard essentials. Shoppers are increasingly buying organic as it answers their need for a healthy, sustainable and ethical choice”.
