A new award that recognises the key role of multiple retailers and specialist chains in growing the UK natural products sector will be included in this year’s Natural & Organic Awards.
The Best Multiple Retailer Award will be presented to the winning retailer by the Dragon’s Den star and businesswoman, Deborah Meaden, who will host this year’s Natural & Organic Awards on Monday 18 April.
Commenting on the award, NPN editor, Jim Manson, said: “The multiples and specialist chains continue to a play vital role in opening up natural and organic products to new consumer audiences. This new award gives our industry the opportunity to recognize this dynamic and rapidly evolving part of the natural organic retail mix.”
Natural & Organic Products Europe event director, Carol Dunning, added: “The specialist chains and multiples are really helping to drive sales for specialist health brands through the enormous reach of their healthy and sustainable lifestyle campaigns. They deserve recognition for their important educational role and for creating the volume sales that our brands need to grow and flourish.”
