This year’s Sustainable Food Awards are now open to entries. These international awards celebrate and recognise excellence in sustainability in the food industry.
The aim of the Sustainable Food Awards is “to inspire positive change by recognising organisations and innovations that are helping build a sustainable food industry.” Entries are open to food & beverage brands, retailers & distributors, ingredient suppliers, packaging firms, NGOs, and related firms.
There are five award categories…
- New Sustainable Product: given to new food / beverage products with strong sustainability credentials.
- Sustainable Ingredient: given to new ingredients that make a positive sustainability contribution to food and / or beverages.
- Sustainable Packaging: new packaging formats that have a lower environmental impact.
- Sustainability Pioneer: operators that undertake pioneering activities to advance sustainability in the food industry.
- Sustainability Leadership: operators that demonstrate comprehensive leadership across various sustainability aspects.
The closing date for entries is 23rd May. The finalists will be announced on 11th June, and the winners at a dedicated awards reception in Amsterdam on 26th June. The awards reception will be co-hosted alongside the European edition of the Sustainable Foods Summit, 26-27th June.
Gold and silver winners will be selected per award category by the external judging panel. Winners will benefit from industry recognition of their sustainability achievements. Winners of the previous (2024) Sustainable Food Awards were Aduna Superfoods (UK), Driscoll’s (USA), Hermann.Bio Fungi Pad (Austria), Nature Bio Foods (India), PA Consulting (UK), Pachamama Coffee Farmers (USA), and Pact Coffee (UK).
