Fast-growing plant-based pizza company, One Planet Pizza, launches a new pizza nationwide in Asda this January, with a frozen category first: a plant-based Tex Mex.
Following a strong performance in Asda, growing +41% year on year, the company has ambitious plans to become the retailer’s no. 1 vegan pizza brand.
Focusing on superior taste, quality and health benefits, the new variant combines One Planet Pizza’s popular wood fired sourdough base with rich tomato sauce and a unique, melty plant-based cheese made with white beans. To top it all off, the Tex Mex is covered with marinated vegetables, juicy sweetcorn, and jalapeños for a little extra kick.
One Planet Pizza was founded by father and son team, Mike and Joe Hill, with a bold mission to revolutionise the freezer aisle and get more people excited about plant-based food. Since their inception in 2016, they have grown rapidly, now listed in Morrison’s, Asda, Booths, and across 6 markets, with a passionate fan base of vegans and flexitarians alike.
One Planet Pizza will be available in the frozen meat-free fixture across the Asda estate from January 2025 alongside their existing Peppernomi variant.
